MY VISION ON LEADERSHIP
MY VISION ON LEADERSHIP Leadership is defined as “a collective and collaborative process focused on relationships and networks” (Kezar et al, 2011, p.63) and it has crucial impact upon the achievement of organizational aims and objectives. Traditionally, leadership has been divided into autocratic, democratic and laisser-faire categories as it has been argued by leadership theorist Kurt Lewin. However, Fitzsimons et al (2011) convincingly argue that the range of leadership styles and theoretical frameworks are much wider and more complex and not all of them fit within the classification offered by Lewin. Specifically, additional leadership frameworks include bureaucratic leadership, charismatic leadership, people-oriented leadership, servant leadership, task-oriented leadership, transactional leadership, as well as, transformational leadership.
